The Met Gala is an annual fundraising event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. The 2024 Met Gala took place on Monday, May 6, welcoming some of the most prominent designers, celebrities and artists in the fashion and entertainment industries. This year, the Met Gala raised a record $26 million. Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Zendaya and Chris Hemsworth joined Anna Wintour in co-chairing the event. The 2024 Met Gala celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibit, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the dress code was “The Garden of Time.” Naturally, guests in attendance wore glamorous ensembles that embodied the theme.
