Golden Globes 2024 Recap: Petite Edition

Highlights from the 2024 Global Globes, including some of our favorite fashion trends and petite celebrities’ outfits.

The Golden Globes is an annual awards show celebrating the best in film and television. The 81st annual awards show took place on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. 

Several petite celebrities took home awards on Sunday night. 

Petite actress Ali Wong won best performance by a female actor in a limited series, anthology series or motion picture made for television for her role in "Beef." "Beef" won the Golden Globe for best television limited series, anthology series or motion picture made for television. 

"Barbie" won the Golden Globe for cinematic and box office achievement, and “What Was I Made For?” from “Barbie” won best original song. The song was written by petite singer-songwriter Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell. 

As one would expect for such a glamorous occasion, attendees wore luxurious, stylish and elegant outfits and ensembles. Prominent fashion themes of the night included incorporating shades of red, the color black, and elements such as sequins and other sparkling, shimmering fabrics into ensembles. 

Stars such as Selena Gomez, Heidi Klum and Florence Pugh wore stylish dresses in shades of red, while others such as Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeannie Mai looked elegant in black. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Issa Rae and Julia Garner opted for beautiful gowns full of shimmer, sequins and sparkle.
