From December until the end of January, guests could enjoy the first ever Tiffany & Co. Miami Holiday Pop Up and Cafe in the heart of the Design District. This was my experience.
I had the unique opportunity to have breakfast - or lunch, in my case - at Tiffany’s. Coinciding with Art Basel and Miami Art Week, Tiffany & Co. opened its first ever pop-up and cafe in Miami. In the heart of the design district, artists transformed the building on 40th Street into an imaginative, two-story space consisting of the cafe on the first level, and the jewelry store on the second level.
The pop up perfectly encapsulated the culture of Miami, with the exterior painted in Tiffany’s signature turquoise-blue hue, and a variety of additional bright colors highlighting the walls. We went on the last weekend of the pop up, and the line for the cafe was quite long. However, I thought it was nice that things seemed to be on a casual first-come, first-serve basis. We browsed the menu, which contained a variety of coffee and tea beverages to choose from, along with pastries, salads, wraps, and various breakfast options. We each got a Tiffany & Co. latte (one was coffee, the other was matcha) for $7 each. I thought these were reasonably priced for a designer cafe. Both came branded with the Tiffany & Co. logo. We also got a pastry and quinoa salad. I was happy with the taste and quality of everything I had.
We chose to sit along the exterior of the cafe, in which turquoise-blue and bright pink cafe tables and chairs were placed. The tables were adjacent to the passageway with the bright yellow Fendi building on the other side, creating a colorful, vibrant atmosphere.
After having lunch at Tiffany’s, I had to check out the second level. I ascended the pink staircase to find a space consisting of a specially selected assortment of jewelry and a charismatic, artistic interior.
This pop up and designer cafe was a lot of fun to attend. It was cute, creative, artistic, and vibrant. I spoke with a couple representatives of the pop up, all of whom were very friendly and welcoming, adding to my positive experience. One thing I love about Miami is that it’s a special hub in which numerous creatives from the art and fashion spheres connect, resulting in unique collaborations, exhibits, installations and events.
If you missed this designer pop up, don't worry! Miami always has something new to offer, and you can follow us here at DIIMA Apparel for all the latest fashion finds, events and more.
